About the pattern
The headband is knitted almost to the end before it is braided. In this pattern it is possible to play with the choices of yarn and colours; but bear in mind that it is a headband, and some qualities of yarn will itch more than others. The headband is knitted as long as you need, but may acquire more yarn if knitted longer than 55 cm.
 
Yarn
50 g Dale baby wool (50 g = 165 m) or 50 g Mini alpaca (50 g = 150 m)
Needle suggestion
2.5 mm / 1.5 US
 
Gauge
32 stitches per 10 cm/4 inches in stockinette stitches
